Chelsea and Manchester United will be hoping to add to their rosters this summer after both teams struggled at the end of last season.
Last season, Manchester United finished sixth, a far cry from what we’re used to seeing at Old Trafford. Chelsea qualified for the Champions League, but they are still a long way from contending with Manchester City and Liverpool.
According to Fichajes, the two Premier League clubs will be looking to strengthen, and Ferland Mendy is apparently on their radar.
Manchester United is on the market for a left-back after Luke Shaw and Alex Telles both underperformed last season. According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso is expected to join Barcelona in the coming days, therefore the London club will be on the lookout for a replacement for Ben Chilwell.
Last season, Mendy only started 20 league games, but Real Madrid went on to win the league and the Champions League. Many players in Europe will be interested in joining Carlo Ancelotti‘s Madrid, thus the Italian manager may be seeking a replacement for the French defender.
