Alejandro Garnacho, a Manchester United teenager, has had an extraordinary year.
Not only did the young forward assist in the FA Youth Cup success, but he also won the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year title at the end of the domestic season.
Now, at the Maurice Revello Tournament, his outstanding achievements for Argentina’s U20s have earned him two awards.
Garnacho scored four goals in as many games to win the championship.
The teenager will take some time off before rejoining the club for pre-season training.
Because United doesn’t have many options up front, Erik ten Hag will have to consider bringing the 17-year-old on tour this summer. Cristiano Ronaldo cannot be expected to play every week as he approaches his 38th year, therefore it will be interesting to watch if the club handles the situation in the transfer market.
