Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract with Manchester United has been terminated with immediate effect, less than a week after his shocking interview with Piers Morgan.
The 37-year-old forward’s the second time at Old Trafford has ended just days after he admitted on national television that he “doesn’t respect” manager Erik ten Hag.
United’s statement on the matter read: ” Cristiano Ronaldo is to leave Manchester United by mutual agreement, with immediate effect. The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well in the future.
