Kevin Campbell has spoken out about Arsenal‘s interest in Manchester City‘s Oleksandr Zinchenko, who is also being pursued by West Ham.
For the majority of his tenure at City, Zinchenko has battled to establish himself as a regular starter.
They have the option to replace him during this transfer window, but Pep Guardiola has already decided on Joao Cancelo as his favorite left-back.
West Ham has expressed interest, but Campbell, a former Arsenal player, believes he would be more likely to play a key part if he returned to Arsenal.
“Could I see Zinchenko in midfield for West Ham?” he asks Football Insider. I could, but I’m not sure who will make room.
“Of course, there’s interest from other teams, including Arsenal. I immediately recognized him in the Arsenal midfield.
“He’s an excellent operator.” He’s a typical Man City player when it comes to ball control. He has the ability to take the ball into tight spaces and manipulate it.”
Our present team has a lot of room for better players to come in, and Zinchenko can easily earn a berth in the first team.
He just wants to leave City because he doesn’t get enough playing time, and it doesn’t make sense for him to go to another club and suffer the same fate, especially when there’s no assurance he’ll win championships.
