Jonny Evans is touch and goes to feature against the Wolves as he makes his comeback from a calf injury.
Two Leicester City players will return at Wolves, but Jonny Evans’ injury remains a concern.
The latest injury news from Leicester City as they prepare to travel to Wolves on Sunday in search of their first Premier League away point of the season.
The Leicester City skipper has missed the past two matches with the concern, and while he is due back in training today, whether he can be ready for the trip to Molineux is a different matter. As things stand, it seems Daniel Amartey may retain his place in the back line, with City looking for a third straight clean sheet on Sunday.
Asked if Evans would be fit for the Midlands match-up, City boss Brendan Rodgers said: “We’ll see. We think he’ll be out on the pitch [on Friday]. It might be too soon for him at the weekend, but we’ll see.”
“He was off ill,” Rodgers said on his vice-captain. “He’s been ill for a few days. I saw him this [Thursday] morning and he was feeling much better. Hopefully, he will be back in training and available for the weekend.”
Wilfred Ndidi is likely to remain out with his hamstring issue but could be next week, ahead of the game with Manchester City, provided he remains on the schedule as set out by Rodgers. Ricardo Pereira (Achilles) and Ryan Bertrand (knee) are long-term absentees.
