Our manchester united lineup for their Europa League home game against Real Sociedad is now available, with many changes expected.
We’ve arrived at the start of our Europa League campaign. Manchester United Football Club will now play Thursday through Sunday for the foreseeable future, with the EFL Cup beginning in the near future.
The first game is likely to be United’s most difficult at home in the group, as Real Sociedad visits the Theatre of Dreams. Make no mistake: this will be a tough match between two good teams.
No doubt Erik ten Hag will ring the changes here, particularly as he looks to give some key players rest, while also looking at the fringe members of the squad. We’re also going to see full debuts given to two players here.
First up, we have Martin Dubravka. Honestly, I’m really keen to see how he gets on in between the sticks. No doubt the ex-Newcastle man is chomping at the bit to prove his worth.
The back four is completely freshened up here. Aaron Wan-Bissaka will be given his opportunity to shine, while Luke Shaw will start over in the left-back slot. Victor Lindelof starts at the heart of the defense, with Harry Maguire also playing here.
We’ve been waiting for a Casemiro full debut for well over a week now, though this feels like the opportune moment to do that, against a Real Sociedad side he knows well from his time in La Liga. Fred comes into the XI, with Bruno Fernandes starting in that number 10 position.
Cristiano Ronaldo will make his first start since the Brentford game, with Antony getting some more minutes under his belt here as he gets used to his new surroundings. Anthony Elanga will make up the starting XI.
