Karim Benzema, a Real Madrid striker has praised Cristiano Ronaldo for his crucial part in the Spanish champions’ incredible season.
This season, the French attacker has been a key part of Los Blancos, who have won both the league and the Champions League. This season, he scored 44 goals in 46 appearances across all competitions, including an incredible 15 on the European stage.
Benzema has re-established himself as one of the best attackers in the world at the moment, after spending the majority of his time at the Santiago Bernabeu in the shadow of Cristiano Ronaldo. Benzema, on the other hand, has claimed that the Portuguese have been instrumental in his late-career comeback.
“I wanted to understand everything he did when I saw him: the goals, the shoots, the passes, the ball control,” he remarked. Everything about Ronaldo was examined by me. As a result, I can state unequivocally: “It is impossible to achieve the same.”
Because of his outstanding performance this season, Benzema has been nominated for the Ballon d’Or. He has explained why he believes he has received numerous accolades thus far this year, and he has stated that he will be deserving of the award at the end of the year.
Benzema has made 94 appearances for Les Bleus in his career, scoring 36 goals. In the meantime, his former teammate Ronaldo was left out of Portugal‘s starting lineup for their 1-1 draw with Spain on Thursday evening, appearing for just over half an hour as a second-half substitute.
