Jadon Sancho‘s overall game continued to improve dramatically as the season progressed.
Sancho began to seem like the individually fantastic player we all know and love after a difficult start, most likely due to the EURO 2020 hangover.
Goals, assists, and forthrightness. At times, the Englishman seemed to carve up opportunities at will, looking like United’s best attacker in games.
Sancho is expected to take another step forward under Erik ten Hag‘s leadership. The Englishman will also benefit from having completed a full pre-season.
Sancho gets the summer off before that to unwind, recharge his batteries, and prepare for a busy year ahead. Sancho took part in a fan question and answer session via the club before leaving for his vacation.
During a Q&A session, a fan asked Sancho if he likes midfield or attack, and Sancho replied, “Attack.” [Which side are you on?] It doesn’t bother me as long as I’m having fun.”
Sancho, in my opinion, is better when he cuts in on his stronger right foot or when he gets to the byline and crosses the ball with his fantastic left foot. He simply appears to have more alternatives when deployed on that side, in my opinion.
The issue is that we’ll see a better Marcus Rashford next season, while Anthony Martial could return. There’s also a potential United will recruit another winger of some sort.
Sancho must force the manager’s hand and prove that he is undroppable. That’s how talented the former Borussia Dortmund player is, and I believe he can do it throughout the course of next season.
