For the first time this summer, images of Cristiano Ronaldo returning to Manchester United training have surfaced.
On his Instagram page, Ronaldo posted a shot from Carrington with the remark, “Working in progress.”
Ronaldo was with United youngsters Charlie McNeill, Amad, Charlie Savage, and Hannibal.
He is part of the group preparing for Manchester United’s friendly on Sunday at Old Trafford against Rayo Vallecano.
Ronaldo had declared on Friday that he would be available for selection to face Rayo, his first pre-season game of the summer.
United face Atletico Madrid in Norway on Saturday, losing 1-0. We took a look at five things learned from the narrow defeat.
One of the big takeaways was how light United is in attack, and Cristiano Ronaldo can be a solution for this.
He was United’s top goalscorer last season with 24 goals, showing that even at the age of 37, he has plenty left to offer.
While he has been widely reported to want an exit, there are no clear routes for him to do so. It seems at present that he will be beginning the season with United.
It is good to see him back in United colors, with a smile, and the young players he has been training with will have enjoyed the unforgettable experience to work with him.
