According to the Spanish daily AS, Paris Saint-Germain could give Marcus Rashford almost €50 million per season to entice him to move to France.
The 25-year-old has been one of the Premier League’s most promising young players this season, and he has continued that success into the World Cup, scoring three goals in five games to help England reach the Quarterfinals.
Rashford’s current contract will allow other clubs to set up for a move next summer as he will be free to sign a new contract with other clubs. United is mindful of other parties’ interests and is prepared to begin new contract negotiations as soon as possible.
PSG is thought to be working on a massive financial plan that would see the English attacker earn a stunning £850,000 per week, more than three times his present salary.
United have the financial resources to match their offer, and Rashford appears to be content with the club’s present rebuilding period under the Dutch manager. He appears to have regained his form, and it would be a shame if the Red Devils were to lose one of their most promising academy products for nothing.
With club football ready to start this month, United will be hoping the forward maintains his stunning form as they compete for a top-four spot. Despite United’s qualms, PSG will be banging on the door, and Rashford would have to be persuaded to leave his boyhood club.
