Back in 2020, Manchester United attempted everything to sign Jude Bellingham. Sir Alex Ferguson was even involved in persuading the player.
However, the adolescent midfielder chose to join Borussia Dortmund, where he has performed admirably since arriving in Germany from Birmingham City.
If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then Man Utd is set to press to finally agree on the big-money signing of Bellingham.
As per The Mirror (press image provided below), Man Utd have revived their interest in luring the 19-year-old, who was recently voted the 4th best young player in the world (Kopa Trophy).
The renowned British news source has mentioned that the Red Devils are set to step up their efforts to secure the £100million pursuit of the England international.
It is stated that the Old Trafford outfit will fight the likes of Manchester City, Real Madrid, and Liverpool to sign Bellingham.
The 19-year-old can play anywhere in the center of the park and this season, he has already directly contributed to 11 goals (9 goals and 2 assists).
Man Utd finished outside the top four last term and therefore, they are taking part in the Europa League in the current campaign.
This term, they have so far done well under the guidance of Erik ten Hag and they must maintain the form to ensure Champions League qualification for next season.
To lure a £100million-rated player like Jude Bellingham, Man Utd must earn a place in Europe’s premier competition.
