Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been notified by Manchester United that he is expected to join the team on its preseason tour.
Ronaldo scored 24 goals for the Red Devils in 2021–22 after moving back to Old Trafford last summer.
To compete in the Champions League the next year, the Portugal international has asked to quit the team if a good offer is made this summer.
Ronaldo has been advised by United that he must travel with them on their pre-season tour of Australia and Thailand, according to the Daily Mail, even if he decides to leave during the current transfer window.
Erik ten Hag‘s team is scheduled to depart on Friday for the two-and-a-half week tour, and the 37-year-old is anticipated to return to practice on Monday.
Man United will play three Premier League teams in a row, beginning with a friendly matchup against Liverpool in Thailand before traveling to Australia to take on Crystal Palace and Aston Villa.
