Lyon is interested in signing Manchester United defender Eric Bailly, who is expected to depart Old Trafford this summer.
That’s according to But! Football Club, who claim Manchester United has placed the Ivorian on their transfer list.
They claim that Bailly has grown disgruntled with a lack of playing time this season, in which he has only made four Premier League appearances due to competition for defensive positions at United.
While Marseille is a recognized admirer, his name is also on the table in Lyon.
They’re searching for an experienced player to partner with Castello Lukeba in defense, and with Jason Denayer gone and the club looking to offload Jerome Boateng, they’ll need to sign someone.
They were unable to sign Issa Diop from West Ham and have so turned to Bailly, who they considered in 2019.
However, there is competition for his signing, as his entourage is ‘discussing’ offers with Serie A and La Liga teams, with a departure from Manchester United now appearing to be a certainty.
