Manchester United is interested in Bayern Munich youngster Jamal Musiala following his Premier League admission.
According to teamTALK (h/t Manchester Evening News), Manchester United is keeping an eye on Bayern Munich wonder kid Jamal Musiala, who has expressed interest in joining the Premier League.
The Red Devils are eager to sign the Germany international. However, luring him away from the Bundesliga giants will be difficult because the 19-year-old is content at the club.
Musiala has a contract till 2026 with Bayern. And the attacking midfielder has a value of more than £50 million on his head. Speaking to German outlet BILD recently (h/t MEN), Musiala said of his future:
“Playing [my] whole career at FC Bayern? Many factors come together. I’m very happy at Bayern. You never know what will happen in six to seven years. Premier League? Really strong league, big stars go there. But… no idea, now I’m at Bayern. [It’s a] super top club.”
The German made his debut for the Allianz Arena side in the 2020/21 season. In the previous campaign, he featured 40 times for the Bavarians in all competitions, scoring eight goals and providing six assists.
For Bayern this season, Musiala has started three of the five Bundesliga fixtures so far, contributing with three goals and an assist. The 19-year-old is a versatile player capable of playing in multiple positions, including the center of midfield, the number 10 position, and on the wings.
Musiala has also amassed 15 caps for the German national team since his debut in 2021. At just 19 years of age, the Bayern starlet is already one of the biggest names in world football.
United has a host of youngsters in the squad as well. The likes of Alejandro Garnacho and Zidane Iqbal have shown promise for the Old Trafford side. However, none of them have yet had the impact Musiala has had.
United currently has a lot of young talent up front. Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Marcus Rashford are still in their early 20s. However, the middle of the park is aging and could use fresh legs.
