Real Madrid is apparently keeping an eye on Manchester United starlet Alejandro Garnacho’s contract predicament.
Real Madrid is keeping a close eye on Manchester United and Argentine whizkid Alejandro Garnacho, who will be out of contract with the Premier League club in 2023, according to Defensa Central.
Garnacho was born in Madrid and spent his early years with Real Madrid’s rivals, Atletico Madrid. Manchester United signed the teenage winger in the summer of 2020, and he has progressed quickly through the ranks at the English club.
Garnacho has appeared in 31 games for Manchester United’s Under-18 team, scoring 16 goals and assisting on eight others. In the 2021/22 season, the 17-year-old winger was instrumental in their FA Youth Cup victory, scoring a brace in the final. He’s also made an impact for the Red Devils’ Under-23 side, scoring three goals and adding an assist in 12 appearances.
former manchester united manager Ralf Rangnick gave Garnacho his senior debut near the end of the season, and the Argentine youth international made two appearances for the Manchester United first team.
Manchester United has great ambitions for Garnacho, who is regarded as one of the brightest young talents to have come through the ranks in recent years and is expecting to give him a bigger part in the first team in the forthcoming season under new manager Erik ten Hag.
But first and foremost, Manchester United must resolve Garnacho’s contract dispute. The 17-year-old is in the final year of his current contract with the Red Devils, and his situation has piqued the interest of a number of European clubs. Real Madrid has joined the race for the adolescent super kid, with Juventus already plotting a Bosman transfer for him in 2023.
Real Madrid has shown an interest in bolstering its youth ranks in recent transfer windows, indicating that they intend to develop future stars from within the organization. The reigning Spanish and European champions have added several young players with the potential to their team, the most recent of whom is Noel Lopez.
