Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has received a boost in his pursuit of West Ham’s £40m rated Jarrod Bowen
The Irons Three Lions star is a top priority for Arsenal as they continue their search for a new winger.
The representatives of the former Hull City player reportedly met with the Gunners to discuss a potential transfer to North London.
Right-winger Bowen plays with his left foot, which appeals immensely to Arteta, who wants to take the place of Nicolas Pepe.
The adaptable Bowen, who impressed at the London Stadium since signing from the Tigers in 2020, would also provide alternatives on the right and even through the middle in addition to being a threat in and around the box.
Arsenal would not be turned off by his estimated £40 million price tag either.
With West Ham apparently setting up a move for Rennes’ Martin Terrier to replace Jarrod, Arsenal is in a prime position to sign the highly-rated England star.
In other developments, Pablo Mari is reportedly on the verge of signing Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce.
According to Habel Global, the defender is surplus to needs at Arsenal, but it is unknown whether the move would be temporary or permanent.
The mooted deal would see Mari reunited with boss Jorge Jesus after their time together at Flamengo.
