Bayern Munich has three young players nominated for the prestigious Golden Boy award, which is given to the best footballer under the age of 21.
The list of 60 nominees was compiled by journalists from various European publications and published in the Italian news outlet Tuttosport.
According to SB Nation, Jamal Musiala, Ryan Gravenberch, and Mathys Tel have all been shortlisted for the award which was last won by Barcelona’s star midfielder, Pedri in 2021
Musiala stands a good chance of winning the 2022 edition as the German striker has started the 2022/23 season is great form, scoring 4 goals in Bayern Munich’s first 3 games of the season.
The 19-year-old will however contend with fellow Bundesliga stars, Jude Bellingham and Karim Adeyemi of arch-rivals Borussia Dortmund who has also been shortlisted for the Golden Boy award

Meanwhile, Bayern Munich is hoping to offload 3 players before the end of the summer transfer window as the club still has far too many players in the first team squad for the new season.
According to Fansided, Joshua Zirkzee, Tanguy Nianzou, and Bouna Sarr are the 3 players that the Bundesliga champions want to sell or loan within the next three weeks.
