Bayern Munich recently extended contracts for Sven Ulreich and Josip Stanii until 2024 and 2026, respectively, but it now appears that the club’s attention is shifting to three players nearing the end of their contracts: French defenders Lucas Hernández and Benjamin Pavard, and Cameroonian striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting.
Kicker journalists Hernández, Pavard, and Choupo will find out if their futures in Bavaria are secure, according to Georg Holzner (via @iMiaSanMia). Hernández should be a sure thing because he is a crucial player for Bayern, and while Choupo is in God mode right now, Bayern is still waiting for a deal for Tottenham Hotspur forward Harry Kane.
Pavard’s status as a Bayern Munich player is in doubt. Numerous reports have surfaced tying the 26-year-old to another club or hinting at a probable transfer. Whatever happens, Bayern will not make any transfers during the winter transfer window.
