Bayern Munich climbed to the top of the Bundesliga with a 2-0 victory over Wolfsburg in their first home game of the season on Sunday, thanks to goals from Jamal Musiala and Thomas Muller.
Musiala scored from 20 yards out in the 33rd minute at the Allianz Arena, becoming Bayern’s youngest goal scorer in the Bundesliga.
A minute before halftime, Muller pounced from close range to ensure Bayern maintained their record of never losing at home to Wolfsburg in 26 league matches, winning 24 of them.
Sadio Mane, who joined the club from Liverpool in June, missed a glorious chance from close range that could have given the forward a third goal in three competitive matches for his new club.
