Stefan Bajcetic appears to be traveling with Liverpool this summer. The 17-year-old has a very promising future.
This past weekend, Liverpool left for their preseason tour, and it looks like Stefan Bajcetic will be going along. The defender signed a professional contract in November 2021 after joining the Reds in late 2020.
Moreover, Bajetic has performed well enough that Jurgen Klopp and the company want to examine him further. As the first team practices together before the next season, they’ll understand that.
Bajcetic, a 17-year-old defender, arrived from Celta Vigo after quite a bit of competition for his signature. The Athletic reported at the time that Manchester United was eager to sign him, only for Liverpool to ‘swoop in’ and clinch a deal.
He quickly impressed and the Reds offered a professional contract as soon as they could. Bajcetic also earned praise from coach Marc Bridge-Wilkinson at the time.
“He is doing really well,” said Bridge-Wilkinson, per the Athletic. “He is playing a little bit different in midfield at the minute but he is good enough to play there.
“He is good enough to play the game in and out of possession in that position as well as at center-back. We are really pleased for him today.”
