Liverpool is one of several clubs interested in signing the young striker, who has been compared to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland.
Liverpool has been linked with a move for a player dubbed the “next Erling Haaland.”
Earlier this year, the Reds were linked with the real Haaland while he was at Borussia Dortmund. After his release clause was activated, he chose to join Manchester City in a £51 million deal.
A new report from Italy has linked Liverpool to a possible new striker. Andreas Schjelderup, an FC Nordsjaelland starlet, is mentioned in the report.
According to Calciomercato, the Reds are one of a number of clubs showing an interest in the talented 18-year-old. Schjelderup is a Norway Under-21 international and has five goals to his name in 10 appearances this season.
According to the report, Liverpool, along with a number of other clubs from across Europe, are interested in signing the striker. Arsenal, Sevilla, Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan, and Juventus have all been linked to the player.
Schjelderup has been tipped for a bright future in his native Norway, with some even comparing him to his compatriot Haaland. According to the report, the youngster is worth around €20 million (£17.5 million) and is expected to join a new club next summer, with his current contract set to expire in 2024.
