Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain was observed training with Liverpool this afternoon.
Jurgen Klopp put his squad through their paces ahead of Sunday’s Premier League match against Tottenham Hotspur.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has had an injury-plagued start to the season, appearing for only 14 minutes in the defeat against Nottingham Forest last month.
In midweek, Klopp revealed that the 29-year-old – a £40 million signing in 2017 [Guardian] – is ‘now ready to start playing a lot more Premier League football.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return to action comes at an ideal time for a Liverpool side struggling for consistency and stability.
Klopp’s midfield options have been inconsistent all season long and with Curtis Jones also back again, well the England international being fit too should, in theory, help out the Reds somewhat considerably.
It’s no secret that Oxlade-Chamberlain hasn’t been at his best for Liverpool for a number of years now.
But he’ll be desperate to make up for lost time and in terms of talent, well there’s just no doubting someone of the former Southampton product’s ability.
