Pipe Sierra, the writer who first reported on Luis Diaz‘s move to Liverpool, believes the Colombian has yet to fulfill his full potential at Anfield.
The 25-year-old joined the Reds in January from FC Porto and has made an immediate impact on Merseyside.
Jurgen Klopp’s assault was re-energized by his brisk and direct style of play at a vital point in the season, and the Colombian international will be looking forward to his first pre-season with the club.
“I don’t believe you’ve seen half of Luis Diaz yet.” With Jurgen Klopp as his coach, he has so much more potential to shine. I know he’s looking forward to the pre-season,” he told Anfield Talk (via HITC).
Can you envision Diaz at his best if all we’ve seen of him thus far is him at less than 50%?
He has now earned the right to play in Klopp’s starting XI on a weekly basis, and he deserved to start the Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Our German coach will now have the opportunity to work closely with the winger before we meet Manchester City in the FA Community Shield on July 30.
When he first joined the club, he seemed right at home, and we’re looking forward to seeing how he develops and adds more goals to his game next season.
