According to MundoDeportivo, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will compete with Manchester City and Real Madrid for Las Palmas attacking midfielder Alberto Moleiro in the January transfer window.
According to the Spanish news outlet, Liverpool, Manchester City, Real Madrid, Barcelona, and Borussia Dortmund are all interested in signing Moleiro from Spanish club Las Palmas.
Moleiro’s current contract release clause, which runs through June 2026, is €30 million (£26.41 million).
If Las Palmas gets promoted to La Liga, then the attacking midfielder’s release clause will increase to €60 million (£52.83 million).
García Pimienta’s side is second in the LaLiga2 table at the moment with 27 points from 15 matches, three points behind leaders Alaves.
In our opinion, Liverpool is unlikely to be able to sign Alberto Moleiro from Las Palmas in the January transfer window.
With so many clubs interested in the playmaker, Las Palmas will surely not sell him in January for anything less than his release clause, especially as they are very much in the race for promotion to La Liga at the end of the season.
Would Liverpool pay €30 million (£26.41 million) for a 19-year-old who is not even playing in the top flight of Spanish football?
