LIVERPOOL has had a disastrous start to the Premier League season.
Liverpool has had a disastrous start to the season, taking only nine points from a possible 18 in the Premier League and losing 4-1 to Napoli in the Champions League. Jurgen Klopp could now be facing a significant rebuild, with signs indicating that his current squad has reached the end of its current cycle and that a slew of new faces is required.
Here Express Sport suggests which players the Reds may look to ship it out in order to create space and raise funds for their new arrivals.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Naby Keita
Roberto Firmino
Joe Gomez: After injuries to Joel Matip and Ibrahima Konate, the England international has only recently returned to the starting lineup, but he has looked out of his depth and has become a target for opposition attackers, particularly during Wednesday’s humiliating defeat to Napoli.
Injuries have hampered his once-promising career, and he no longer appears to be capable of performing at the level required by Liverpool. A move to another Premier League club could be exactly what the 25-year-old needs, giving him the chance to rediscover his form in a less stressful environment.
